Roadways & Infrastructure

The purpose of geotechnical instrumentation for earthwork construction is generally to follow cut-and-fill operations, as well as consolidation rates, for an embankment construction with pore pressure transducers, settlement and lateral movement using inclinometers, profilers, vibrating wire settlement sensors and surveying equipment. Monitoring is usually done with manual readouts and/or stand-alone loggers during construction and surcharge activities.
