Weir Monitors

Weir monitors are a system that uses a very accurate water level transducer installed behind a weir plate to evaluate flow volumes through a channel. The main component is a cylindrical weight suspended from the sensor that hangs partially submerged in the water whose level is to be monitored. As the water level changes, the changing buoyancy force on the cylinder acts directly on the sensor.
