In 2017 GKM was retained by IOC to analyze and troubleshoot their existing slope stability monitoring equipment setups as well as to design a custom automated data acquisition system capable of collecting data from a series of TDR cables, Shape Accel Arrays and vibrating wire piezometers for use at one of their loading pockets. The data collected using these sensors is being automatically updated into an online visualization software with alarms being forwarded to key personnel and to the mine dispatch group such that the staff onsite can respond quickly to any changes in site conditions.
