Pore pressure monitoring on tailing dikes and mine waste structures | Iron Ore Canada

FERMONT

thumb

LS Series data acquisition systems was retained in the summer of 2017 as the plate-form for monitoring pore pressure measurements at various locations on tailing dikes and mine waste structures in the Minérai de Fer du Québec mining property located 13km north of Fermont.

All vibrating wire piezometers model 4500S were connected to twenty standalone long-range radio data acquisition nodes.  All measurements are streamed through a central data receiver (gateway) and pushed into a Remote Data Management software (RDMS) that host and display data in a secure server at the mine site for easy access and analysis in ‘’near-real time’’ by personnel responsible of the tailing storage facility.
